Nice form and fine contrast. Subtle and atmospheric imagery. I really like the silhouette effect. Beautiful tones.

That kind of art is what I'm looking for, because it has all the essential in it's simplicity and therefore it gives space for the artist's own style. What I mean, is that if a painting is photorealistic, it doesn't mean that it's artistic.

i'm glad you like it. i agree that if a painting is photorealistic it isn't necessarily artistic. there is a lot of work out there that is skillfully done - yet doesn't do much for me. some of my own work is even that way. i'm often searching for that balance where i excercise the skill of capturing something visually yet leave room for spontaneity and my own personal style. it's always easy to get a pat on the back for representational artwork, but i like seeing (and sometimes doing) artwork that offers something unexpected and absurd and contrary to normal expectations. thanks for the comment!
